SynerCrete’23 (https://synercrete.com/) aims to communicate, discuss and arouse progress in research, development and application of cement-based materials and structural concrete through combination (synergy) of expertise from distinct fields of knowledge. The conference will be held on the Greek island of Milos on 15-16 June 2023. This is the second edition of the SynerCrete conference series which started in 2018 (https://2018.synercrete.com/). SynerCrete’23 is organised as a full RILEM event.
The call for abstracts is now open. The abstracts (up to 250 words) are accepted through the conference website. Deadline for abstract submission is 31 July.
All accepted papers will be published by Springer as RILEM Bookseries and indexed in SCOPUS and Google Scholar. The authors of selected papers will be invited to submit original contributions related to their participation in the conference in SynerCrete’s Special Issue published by the Journal of Advanced Concrete Technology.
Best papers will be granted awards in three categories. The authors of the awarded papers will get an extended time of presentation of their paper and will be waived of the registration fee. The authors will be also invited to feature in the Special Issue.

- Alternative concrete formulations for adaptation to climate change
- Performance-based and multiphysics/multiscale design and innovative testing
- Structural health monitoring (SHM) and maintenance management
- Integral BIM-based planning
- Resource-responsible building
